Today I put up a new widget to share content from my blog with the rest of the world. The social sites began with Slashdot, and then Fark. Within the past year, however, the number and popularity of these types of democratic content gathering websites has ballooned. Reddit, Digg, and many others have made it hard for webmasters to provide opportunities to increase their readers' ability to share the site with others. This morning I stumbled across "Add this!", a free widget and code that you can add to your site for a nifty gadget to quickly bookmark or share the site with any of the congregates out there. It's over on the side of my profile, above the blog calendar. I'm going to put it into the shtml on my main web site soon - hopefully before the end of Spring Break.
Also: The name we picked for the dog is Olivia. More pictures coming soon.
